Denzel Washington Getting Divorce
According to The National Enquirer, the marriage of Denzel and Pauletta, may soon be over. They claim that rumors have been circulating for years about Denzel being a playboy, and his recent move out from their $10 million mansion is not a good sign either.
The new name on everyone’s lips may soon be, Sanaa Lathan. She is the 34 year old “mistress” that could be splashed all over ever tabloid from coast to coast. Quote from the article, “People have speculated about Denzel having affairs for a long time. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the recent reports about Sanaa have gotten under his wife Pauletta’s skin like nothing else has.”
I really hope this isn’t true, being Denzel has always been one of my favorite actors and part of what Hollywood considers to be a rock solid marriage.

Please tell me its not true about Denzel, he has always been a person I looked up to because he seemed like such a devoted father (and I’m sure he is) and who seemed to really love his wife. Is the rumor true that S. Lathan has a baby and it is Denzel’s?

To be honest if Denzel is cheating at least he went out there and found someone prettier. Although his wife may be a nice person she isnt’t the cutest thing in the world and she shouldve seen it coming as sexy as Denzel is!!!! FINEEEEEEE! Shay you are sick. Since when does “cuteness” matter most in a woman? What about spirituality and love and giving a man 5 children?? Denzel is married, so Sanaa should have stayed away from him and he sure should stay away from her. Its still adultery.

Shay you sure are a sick individual. The very thing he did to his wife could be done to Shaana, and even you. I just Mrs. Washington on TBN. If this is true, this divorce will not only effect the two of them, but it will effect the entire family. I hope they consider the impact this will have.

I hope this is not true, because Mr. Washington has such a good standard in the black industry. I hope for the sake of black stability this is only a rumor. I hope and pray God can count on @ least one of our black educated and fine brothers. I am really devastated by the whole idea of Denzel’s possible infidelity. He has exhibited such genuine family love to Pauletta and the black culture as a whole. I would want nothing more than true happiness for Denzel and Pauletta, but I believe GOD ordained marriage and he could see them through any storm —-rumored or true!

Don’t believe all the trash that you read…you may not think that Pauletta is the “prettiest” woman in the world, but she must have had something that Denzel wanted because he married HER and together they have raised a family. Don’t let the tabloids frame your thinking…some people do believe in the God-ordained institution of marriage and the fact that He intended for it to be until “death do us part”…Stay strong Denzel and Pauletta!

Denzel Washington is my favourite actor and I consider him to be the sexiest man on the planet. I hope that these rumors are not true and that he is not cheating his wife with some “wanna be actress”. Pauletta is a beautiful lady no matter what anyone says!!! Denzel and Paulette, will continue to be just fine. Respect is there key. Love is there power. So you see they will fine. Without all the negative comments. Not every thing we read or hear is true. Shoot I was totally upset when I heard all those rumors tieing him and Sanna together. Because I love her as an actress too, and didn’t want to face the fact that she could do such a thing. Pauletta is beautiful and I hope Denzel did not do a stupid thing like cheat on her. Marriage is a sacred relationship and should be cherished and valued. I just pray Denzel continues to stay strong and work hard to keep his marriage together and alive. It is hard in Hollywood to stay united especially when your job requires one to be completely open to someone else in these love scenes called acting… That stuff is real. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I wish them togetherness for at least another twenty years. Denzel should really think about the support he has gotten from her for all of these years and realize that if he does step out on her, he has made one of the biggest mistakes in his life and will always regret his infidelity.

You bitches are crazy. So what if he’s got a new woman? And why is some ACTOR the standard by which the ‘black community’–whatever the hell THAT is–is judged? And, frankly, your middle-class morality is tiresome. Denzel’s an adult–he can do whatever he wants with his life. If he wants to move on, so be it. Staying married, for the sake of staying married, is ludicrous. By law, he has to pay the current Mrs. Washington to be free of her–fine; he should cut her a check, and get on with his life. Trey and Shay you both are immature and selfish with no respect to the institution of marriage that God ordained. Trey you made a point that no one should stay married just because, I agree, but yet the couple should do what they can to bring back the love, respect and happiness that brought them together. Counseling is a first, communication is a must! Shay you sound like an homewrecker, waiting for the next man to devour! If I were one of your friends I’ll watch you closely around my man. That’s why there are so many divorces today because of people that don’t try to stick it out and see what God has in store. Ohhh please.. that man has been cheating on her now for years. He had a steady gf in Miami when filming there. And that is not even with Sanaa Lathan. So.. sure.. he should break up with the missus, she doesn’t need to worry about getting diseases from him anymore (assuming they still do it, which I’m sure they don’t), and move on to the 34 yr old. And then let HER feel the sting of his infidelity when SHE finds out he has not given up all the other girls. Once a cheater, always a cheater.
The only reason he should stay with his wife, is the knowledge that out of all the women out there, there is one, he will always know married him for him, and not for money.

I think the rumor that Denzel and Sanaa was made up by the Tabloids simply because they made a movie together with a love scene in it. Also tabloids wanted to jump all on that because there’s never any bad publicity in the news about Denzel. But I don’t believe it because Sanaa denied the rumor in Essence Magazine. Plus, obviously Denzel must really love Pauletta to marry her, have five children by her, and stay married to her as long as he has. Thanks for allowing me to share my comment.

To Shay and all others who are disrespecting Paulette because YOU think she isn’t pretty enough. You are wrong. She is beautiful. DOes she need to be lighter in skin tone? Is that what you think beauty is?

I am sitting here and reading the comments about the Washington’s marriage and I must say that I am disappointed, not suprised but disappointed. To even have some women or men say that Pauletta is not “cute” infuriates me. Marriage is an institution that God created so that a man and a woman could grow, mature, love, and journey through life tohether in a holy environment. If you know class then you know that Pauletta oozes it. You are right she is not “cute’, she is down right regal, but then you would have to have class to recognize it. The woman is always flawlessy dressed, beautifully coiffed and articulately spoken. What more could the brother want? She has helped to raise and cultivate obviously intelligent children that are not always the topic of the tabloids and she is a proven philanthropist. So with that said, if Denzel has cheated with Sanaa or any other women, he has only cheated himself out of what every man with class, civilty and taste desires, “The Virtuous Woman”. You can believe in situations like this “cute” does not cut it. And for those of you who only have cute to contribute to a relationship , I suggest you practice doing a lot of back exercises because because if you notice “cute” women spend a lot of time on their lying down. More power to you Mrs. Washington.

I just saw an interview with Denzel Washington on Good Morning America this morning. Denzel talks about his plans for the holidays with his WIFE and family. His son is now playing for the St. Louis Rams and his daughter has returned home from college last night…and he was not there to greet her, but he looks forward to returning home with his family. He has FOUR children, not five: 2 girls and 2 boys.
Gossip sucks when it is not true.
Open your mouth when you know of what you speak.
I wieh the best for Denzel, his marriage and his family.
Shay…you will one day land the man of your dreams (he may be someone else’s husband). And the way you get him COULD be the way you lose him. That is a very ugly and GHETTO attitude you have about men.
Paulette is not the cutest woman in the world (and NOT because she is not the lightest skinned woman), but she is HIS wife. HE chose HER.

So when HE said ’til death do us part’, then HE committed to working out whatever problems may arise. I don’t believe that Denzel cheated on his wife. I saw him after a play once and a women asked him for a kiss and he very kindly said no. I was so impressed that he didn’t kiss her not a peck on the check or a hug nothing inappropriate. From that day forward, I have had respect for him. I know he is human and like all of us have weak moments but I believe he respects his wife and his family and doesn’t want to be want some not so nice people are waiting for him to be — a failure.
