Kelly Search For New Sound
Kelly Clarkson is shopping around for a new sound for herself. As noted in a recent MTV article she is considering doing a few songs with the Black Eyed Peas. She is desperately trying to reach out to new styles of music that her current label will not allow her to entertain.
She is quoted as saying, “I’ve been writing with them for the past two years and we finally decided, ‘Let’s just nail it down. We’ve got great songs that we’ve been doing together, why don’t we just go ahead,’ ” Clarkson said. “And everybody who has heard them has been loving it, so I’m down. I like doing that. I like keeping it in the family if it’s good.” On the subject of complete control the label has over here she said, “Oh honey, I try to be more adventurous, but there are things called record labels. I love my record label but people are afraid to try new things, especially because record labels don’t make the money they used to,” Clarkson explained. “But we push ‘em. This is going to be 10 steps away from Breakaway.”
I hope all the best for her and her new sound. I see a lot of potential in her that I don’t see in any of the other American Idol winners.
